2018 Convention

Join us in Minneapolis for the 45th Phi Kappa Phi Convention! Board members will be elected by delegates to the 2018 Convention, where the Society will celebrate excellence, conduct governance, and discuss higher education. Among the highlights of the convention will be a speech from the recipient of the Society’s $100,000 Excellence in Innovation Award.

The event also will feature a keynote address by author Julie Schumacher. Her bestselling novel, Dear Committee Members, won the Thurber Prize for American Humor in 2015, making her the first female to receive the award. Her latest book, Doodling for Academics, is a coloring and activity book designed to be an entertaining distraction for those in higher education. 

Build in some extra time for a paddle boat cruise on the Mississippi River, a scenic walk through Loring Park or visit Minneapolis attractions including the Minneapolis Institute of Art, Minnehaha Park, Minneapolis Sculpture Garden and more!
